It’s time to meet our Captain Pooja Chhetri.
Viman Nagar’s Fitato Captain: Pooja Chhetri
Our in-house Yoga trainer, learning to specialise in personal training, Pooja Chhetri is a competitive yet compassionate person. Pooja is on her journey of self-exploration where she strives to be content with what she has achieved and is one the way of achieving. She stays motivated by choosing to be fit and sticking to her fitness journey.
An avid reader, you’d always find Pooja with a book in her hand, except when she is working out. Or when she is binging content on Netflix, because, well, who doesn’t.
Let’s Hear From Pooja Herself
As a child, what did you want to become when you grow up?
Growing up in Shillong made me very connected to nature. All I used to do was run up-and-down the hill chasing dragonflies, butterflies and being by the lake. So, back then, I wanted to be a Gardener. I still have a small garden of my own at my place which I nurture fondly.
So what do you do when you’re not at the gym?
Lately, I have started to understand the downside of overtraining and the importance of rest. So, I rest my body as much as possible. I am also mindful about eating healthy food and taking a nutritious diet. Apart from that, I, binge on Netflix and catch up with my friends.
Do you follow a strict diet? What is your diet like?
My diet primarily consists of home-cooked meals. You’ll rarely find me eating out. My basic diet is a healthy mix of seasonal fruits, fix, nuts and leafy vegetables. I also make it a point to keep my fluid intake high. Apart from that, I also keep in mind to balance my protein and fat intake. And lastly, I try to limit my cheat days to the minimum number possible.
What is the one thing that you enjoy the most in life?
Well, I absolutely love going on road trips with my friends. Exploring new places and meeting new people makes me the happiest.
How did you get to know about Fitato?
I am a Yoga trainer. So, one day, my colleague mentioned this concept where you buy a single membership and get access to Gym, Yoga, Functional training and many more activities at any partner fitness studio. I found this concept revolutionary and knew that I had to be a part of it.
What do you think about the concept?
Like I said, it’s a new and revolutionary concept. You should be involved in multiple activities if you are looking for holistic fitness. And Fitato gives you that. It allows people to enjoy different sports, fitness activities and fun events with just one membership and I love that fact about Fitato. Also, it helps in socialising and meeting new people with all the Fitato Exclusive events that are hosted for the Fitato Community.
Do you have any message for our users?
I’d just request everyone not to consider fitness as not a one-day event. It should be a part of your lifestyle.
