Introducing Fitato Captain: Trisha Kapur
Currently pursuing International Relations and Law at Symbiosis, fitness is an essential part of Trisha’s life. She has been an adrenaline junkie since her school days and that’s what helped her cultivate her interest in sports. She feels Fitato is that one place where you can achieve that adrenaline rush no matter how old you are!
1. How do you keep yourself motivated every day? What keeps you going and gives you strength?
There are often days when you don’t feel like doing anything for whatever reason, but there’s always going to be someone better or someone who can achieve something you want, I don’t think I’d stand a chance if I don’t start by being the best possible version of myself
2. So what do you do when you’re not at the gym?
I’m actually a swimmer, and since it’s not a seasonal sport it has to take a back seat so I work on my agility and stamina through various avenues such as the gym, a martial or dance. I love dancing. Apart from physical recreation, I love reading. I’ve been writing for a few years now probably because of the voracious reader I am. Even in the fitness world,
3. Which fitness activity are you most inclined to? What inclined you to it?
Swimming! I’m a complete water baby. The feel of the water and the grace with which a swimmer completes each stroke has always been a mesmerising spectacle. More than an incline, I was actually pushed into the pool as a baby by my parents, I guess that’s how most kids learn and now I actually thank them for that little albeit evil shove
4. What is the importance of fitness in your life?
It has great importance. It has been this way as far as I can remember because to me the things that you can do to keep yourself are not only fun but healthy. Fitness is not only synonymous to health because of how active you become but the lifestyle and diet you tend to follow if you really get into it.
5. Do you follow a strict diet? What is your diet like?
Well, I try my best to! I do enjoy my cheat days though, I’m a self-proclaimed food conoisseur and I’m North-Indian.
But my diet is high in protein because I weight train and your body needs amino acids to work the muscles for a range of functions. It is also great to replenish the body when sore. I’m also a big believer in good fats and carbohydrates, they are needed for several functions and are not groups to be avoided completely.
6. Where do you see yourself five years from now?
I take each day as it comes, but I hope I achieve my fitness goals by then!
7. What do you think about Fitato as a concept?
It’s an absolutely brilliant concept for someone who has various interests like me. It let’s carry out all your fitness pursuits without burning a hole in your pocket.
8. How do you use your Fitato pass?
Primarily I use the pass for my regular weight training and swimming. But I also use it to try new activities at least twice a week
9. Do you have any message for our users?
Experiment with fitness, it’s only a taboo in your mind because you haven’t found something you love yet!
