What is Folk Fitness?

Folk Fitness is a new and unconventional form of fitness inspired from the roots of India, which brings together elements of folk dance, folk music and the science of fitness into a fitness regime. This method aims to nourish and enrich all aspects of the human experience (the mind, body, and soul) and celebrate India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.

Formed in August 2015, Folk Fitness kickstarted its journey with the motive of making it India’s most significant fitness product for the world. Taking inspiration from about 122 registered folk dances, Folk Fitness is a celebration of India. After receiving accreditations from the National Academy of Sports & Medicine, Aerobics & Fitness Association of America and Fitness & Sports Sciences Association, Folk Fitness has also been recognized by Limca Book of Records as the only Indian fitness regime incorporating folk dances.

A completely unique cardiovascular, full-body strength, endurance and agility exercise program, Folk Fitness is designed for people of all ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels.
